I'm Randika Navagamuwa
Randika currently serves as a Solutions Architect at StarTree, a company founded by the original developers of Apache Pinot. StarTree offers a fully managed platform dedicated to Apache Pinot, a real-time distributed OLAP designed for low-latency, high-throughput query execution.
Prior to joining StarTree, Randika held the position of Solutions Architect at WSO2, the world's leading open-source integration vendor. Specializing in enabling digital transformation, WSO2 provides a hybrid platform for developing, reusing, running, and managing integrations, both on-premises and in the cloud. During his tenure at WSO2, Randika led the Solutions Architecture and Sales efforts in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) sub-region. Under his leadership, the Indian sub-region saw substantial growth, increasing the customer base from less than 5 to over 25.
Before his role at WSO2, Randika served as a Senior Software Engineer at Adroitlogic Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. In this capacity, he was responsible for the Adroitlogic AS2 Gateway and successfully maintained various customer projects.
In 2012, Randika earned the distinguished "Fritz Kunz Memorial Trophy" at Ananda College, Colombo, recognizing him as the most outstanding student. This esteemed award, reserved for the Most Outstanding Anandian, signifies a remarkable accomplishment within the esteemed academic community.
Ananda College stands as a premier institution in Sri Lanka, with a student body exceeding 7000 and a renowned reputation for excellence in both primary and secondary education. Randika further solidified his academic prowess by earning a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the esteemed University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
As a staunch advocate for the open-source software development community, Randika completed the Google Summer of Code Program in 2016 with Eclipse Foundation. Since then, he has contributed to several open-source projects. In his leisure time, Randika enjoys following sports and watching TV series.

Professional Experience
As a pivotal member of StarTree Inc., a company founded by the original developers of Apache Pinot, I lead the Solutions Architecture team in the India region. StarTree is dedicated to delivering a fully managed platform for Apache Pinot, a real-time analytical database.
Responsibilities
- Design solutions and architecture for real-time analytical use cases with Apache Pinot where low latency, high concurrency and data freshness are necessary..
- Guiding customers to optimize real-time analytical queries to meet the expected service level agreements.
- Do use case-specific proof-of-concepts(POCs) for prospects and customers.
- Help customers determine new use cases to utilize the platform efficiently.
- Develop custom connectors when necessary.

Responsibilities
- Designed solutions using the most suited technologies to address customers' business use cases, prioritizing optimization and efficiency.
- Demonstrated the capability to create demonstrations, POCs and related materials with the products to expose the products' capabilities adequately.

AdroitLogic simplifies systems integration. The quality of the code and the performance of the platform led to the deployment of the UltraESB at top-tier organizations the world over, including at Walmart (6M TPS with 200 instances), Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX), Kuoni/HotelBeds (>335 instances), StageCoach and GeoSwift etc. AdroitLogic was bootstrapped in 2010 and has its offices in Sri Lanka.

During the Google Summer of Code, I had the privilege of working with the Eclipse Foundation AISBL, an independent, Canada-based not-for-profit corporation serving as the steward of the Eclipse open-source software development community.
